Known in Korea as 김부장, this So Ji-sub action thriller closed on a 23% average — and the episodes 4–6 action was shot in Geoje, at a Japanese-era tunnel you can walk into for free.
Geoje's Geunpo tunnels are the clearest public filming stop, but the last stretch is on foot and post-flood repairs were not confirmed in the September research. The former Jemulpo Market is closed, and the Pyeongchang-dong home is private. Plan the Geoje visit separately from Seoul and Icheon.
Set your navigation to '근포마을 땅굴'. You cannot drive up to the tunnels — the village lane is signed as no-entry, and the road takes you down to Geunpo harbour instead. Park free at the village hall there and walk 5–7 minutes along the shore. From Geoje bus terminal it's a taxi or a drive down the south coast.
💡 Free and always open. Five tunnels were cut in total; three are open to walk into. Wear trainers — the floors are uneven and unlit. At weekends there is a sign asking each group to keep their photos to about three minutes, so work out your pose before you reach the front.

Gyeonggang Line to Icheon Station (about 1h10m with a Pangyo transfer). Do not try to walk it — Naver puts that at 2.2km and 35 minutes. Take a local bus (231, 8, 111, 2801, 285) 13-20 minutes to the Shinhan Bank stop, then three minutes on foot.
💡 A working bank, open from 09:00 on weekdays — fine to photograph from outside, don't film in the lobby. Japanese outlets ran pilgrimage features on this spot while the show was airing, so expect company at weekends.
3Hotel Riviera Geoje

Named by Geoje City as one of the four main Geoje locations used for the episode 4–6 stretch.
💡 A working hotel with a hot-spring spa and a large car park. You can stay the night, or use the spa as the realistic way in — it's not a walk-through location.
4Pyeongchang-dong neighbourhood

The Kim family's hillside neighbourhood — the everyday streets, bus stop and alley scenes near Segeomjeong Elementary School.

💡 A quiet residential enclave under Bukhansan — go in daylight, keep voices low, and pair it with the Buam-dong café street one hill over. The Kim family's home is the flat above a working dry cleaner's on Pyeongchang 30-gil; it is someone's actual house and shop, so photograph the street, not the doorway.
5Jemulpo Market, Incheon

💡 Go to look, not to shop. The market opened in 1972 and has been in decline since the 1990s; local reporting in 2026 puts what is left at a mill and a butcher. Redevelopment has full approval — 181 flats over 25 floors — with the developers aiming to break ground next summer. Visitors in 2026 found collapse-risk banners, steel fencing, no-entry notices on the courtyard and CCTV. This is a place to photograph from the street and leave.
Indeogwon Station (Line 4), Exit 2, then village bus 05, 05-1 or 06, or city bus 21 or 33. It sits by Baegunhosu Lake on the Uiwang-Anyang edge, not in central Uiwang. Open 10:30-21:00; about 2,600 parking spaces, free on weekdays.
💡 The drama's 'Sangsaeng Department Store', where Mr. Kim goes to buy his daughter's birthday present. Easy to verify on the spot — the production used the open-air mall's canal-side walkways.
💡 The scene was shot in the sauna, and that is the one part you cannot reach: the spa, pool and fitness floors are for guests and fitness members only, and the hotel states outright that members cannot bring visitors in. What is open to anyone is the lobby, the Salon de Moby Dick lounge on the lower floor (05:00-02:00, with the bar from 18:00) and the second-floor restaurant, which needs booking a week ahead.

Geoje is the only city that has claimed this drama
Geoje's own blog published a location guide on 25 June 2026 naming the Geunpo tunnels, the former Suwol army base, Hotel Riviera Geoje and a pension — and the province's arts foundation listed the production for a location incentive. The Geoje sequences are episodes 4 to 6. Nowhere else on this page has that kind of backing: the Seoul-area sites rest on fan identification plus a little press.
The tunnels are free, and the queue is the catch
No ticket, no gate, open at all hours, free parking. What visitors complain about is the wait: a sign asks each group to keep photographs to three minutes, and weekend queues ran 20 minutes to over an hour in 2026. Of 24 visit accounts we read, five were negative and every one of those was about queuing, the small scale or the smell from the beach nearby — none about the place itself. Early on a weekday, or before sunset, people report walking straight in.
You walk the last 500 metres
Cars stop at the Geunpo tunnel car park; vehicles cannot go up to the tunnels. It is 470 to 500 metres on foot, five to ten minutes, following fish painted on the ground and signs for the tunnel path. There is no shade on that walk, and it passes between people's houses — there are notices asking visitors to keep the noise down. Two public toilets at the site.
Storm damage, and we cannot tell you if it is fixed
Extreme rainfall hit Geoje from 15 to 17 August 2026 and the city reported damage to public facilities around its tourist sites, the Geunpo tunnels among them, with repairs promised within a week. We could not find a single visit report published after 21 August, so we cannot confirm the current state. Worth a phone call before you drive down there.
The bank changed its own sign for the shoot
Seram Savings Bank swapped its signage for the fictional Sangsaeng Savings Bank in November 2025 before filming the exterior. The bank has said it does not allow crime or financial-fraud scenes to be shot there. It is a working branch — counters 09:00 to 16:00 on weekdays, closed weekends — and it has been used about four times by productions, including Netflix's Bad Influence in 2025.
Jemulpo Market is being demolished, not visited
The market opened in 1972 and has been emptying since the 1990s. Local reporting in 2026 says a mill and a butcher are about all that trade there now, redevelopment has full approval for 181 flats over 25 floors, and the developer is aiming to start next summer. Visitors this year found collapse-risk banners, steel fencing, no-entry signs and CCTV. Residents told the press they want it pulled down. The sauna at Ananti is the one room you cannot enter
The scene where Ju Gang-chan meets a supplier was shot in the hotel's sauna, and the spa, pools and fitness floors are restricted to guests and fitness members — the hotel states that members cannot sign visitors in. Anyone can use the lobby, the lower-floor Salon de Moby Dick lounge, open 05:00 to 02:00 with a bar from 18:00, and the second-floor restaurant if you book a week ahead.
Pyeongchang-dong is somebody's street
The laundry on the ground floor is Dowon Laundry at 21 Pyeongchang 30-gil, with the Kim family's flat above it, and the bus stop from the opening scene is outside Segeomjeong Elementary School. This is a favourite neighbourhood for location shoots and residents have complained to the district office about road closures, night lighting, rubbish and blocked village buses. The village bus 8003 runs a one-way loop and is infrequent; Gana Art Center at number 28 lets visitors park free.

If you’re searching for this show you’ll hit two titles, and it’s worth clearing up before you plan a trip.
In Korea it aired as 김부장 (Kim Bu-jang) — “Manager Kim” — on SBS, Friday–Saturday, from 26 June 2026. Netflix carries it internationally as Agent Kim Reactivated, a name that circulated as a working title during production and stuck for the global release. Both point to the same ten episodes, adapted from Jung Jong-taek’s Naver webtoon of the same name and directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-woon.
It landed hard: past 20% by episode four, a series high of 23.1% in episode eight, and a 23% average at the finale on Nielsen Korea’s nationwide household figures. It also reached #1 on Netflix Japan, which is why the Icheon bank has been getting Japanese visitors all summer.
Geoje is the part most guides miss
The stretch that fans most want to stand in — the episodes 4 to 6 action — was shot on Geoje Island, and this is unusually well documented because Geoje City published an official press release naming the sites. The production was supported by the city’s location incentive programme, so these aren’t fan guesses.
Four Geoje locations were named. Only two of them are places you should go:
Geunpo village tunnels — free, open, with a car park. This is the one worth the trip.
Hotel Riviera Geoje — a working hotel; book a room or use the spa.
The former Suwol army base (now the old Geoje reserve-forces training ground) — a military facility. Not open to visitors. Please don’t try.
Sonanggu Pension — private accommodation, not a walk-in site.
The tunnels are the real find. They were cut by the Japanese military from 1941 as gun emplacements, abandoned when liberation came in 1945, and sat as village infrastructure for eighty years. The twin shafts connect internally in an H shape, so light enters from both ends and silhouettes anyone standing in the middle — which made the spot an Instagram destination long before a camera crew arrived. Expect to wait your turn for the shot on a weekend.
Getting the tunnel shot
This is the part Korean visitors write about and English guides don’t, so it’s worth spelling out.
The tunnels sit at the waterline and open straight onto the sea, which means you are always shooting into the light. Meter for the bright sky at the mouth rather than the person, and whoever is standing in the tunnel turns into a clean black silhouette against the water. Drop the camera low enough to catch a strip of the floor; if it has rained, the standing water inside doubles the frame.
The trap is that a silhouette flattens everything. Small gestures vanish — finger hearts, peace signs, anything done with the fingers simply isn’t there in the photo. What reads is shape: arms overhead, a jump, two people turned to face each other.
Come in trainers. The floors are the original 1941 cut, uneven and unlit, and there is no handrail. And at weekends expect a queue — there’s a sign asking each group to keep it to roughly three minutes, which is generous until you’re the one deciding what to do with your arms.
The practical mistake people make is the drive. You cannot get a car to the tunnels. Navigation will take you down to Geunpo harbour, where the village lane is signed as no-entry; park at the village hall and walk the last five to seven minutes along the shore. Bring the walk into your timing if you’re chasing sunset.
Suggested route
These sites don’t sit on one line, so treat them as three separate trips.
Geoje is a proper journey from Seoul — roughly four to five hours by bus, or KTX to Busan and across. Give it an overnight and combine the tunnels with the island’s coastline; it’s the only stop here that stands on its own as a destination.
Icheon is the easy day trip: the bank is the anchor, and Icheon is Korea’s ceramics town, so the pottery village fills the rest of the day.
In Seoul, Pyeongchang-dong plus the Buam-dong café street one hill over makes a quiet half-day walk that slots into the northern day of our 3-day Seoul itinerary. Jemulpo and Uiwang are for completists riding Line 1.
What we’ve left off, and why
Some sites logged by fan researchers from the ending credits are closed facilities with no public access, including the shuttered Yangyang campus used for one of the larger set-pieces. Those stay off the visitable list.
We also revised this page substantially in August 2026 after checking every entry against Korean sources: the Geoje locations were added, and the Icheon, Incheon and Gangnam addresses were corrected from neighbourhood names to full street addresses — the earlier versions weren’t precise enough to actually navigate to. How do you take the silhouette photo in the Geoje tunnels?
Stand inside the tunnel and shoot back towards the sea, into the light. Let your camera meter on the bright sky at the mouth and the person in front of you drops to a black silhouette — that is the shot everyone comes for. Keep the camera low so a little of the floor is in frame, and after rain the puddles inside give you a mirrored reflection. One thing that catches people out: because you are a flat silhouette, small hand gestures disappear completely. Finger hearts do not read at all. Use big shapes — arms up, a jump, two people facing each other. At weekends a sign asks each group to take about three minutes, so decide before your turn.
Is this the same drama as the Kim Bu-jang show about a Seoul office worker?
No, and they are easy to confuse even in Korea. This page is about 김부장 (SBS, 2026), the So Ji-sub action thriller Netflix calls Agent Kim Reactivated.
