- It is Yeongjin Beach, not Jumunjin harbour
- Almost every English guide calls this the Jumunjin breakwater, and that will get you to the wrong place. The scene was shot at Yeongjin Beach, a little south of the harbour. Korean navigation apps want 영진해변.
- There are three breakwaters — the middle one is the one
- Arrive and you will see three. Korean visitors are consistent that the centre breakwater is the actual filming location.
- The queue is avoidable
- This is the tip worth the whole page. At weekends the middle breakwater has a line of people waiting to reproduce the scene. Immediately beside it is another breakwater of the same shape, pointing the same way at the same sea, with no queue at all. Photographed from the right angle the result is indistinguishable, and several Korean visitors specifically recommend not bothering with the long side.
- The props are lent out free
- Korean visitors in 2025–2026 reported free loans of buckwheat flowers and a red scarf at beach cafés, including the gelato shop by the sand. Ask the shop if this is still available before relying on it.
- Parking is the actual difficulty
- Repeated reports of circling for a space at busy times. Korean visitors start looking for parking before they arrive rather than driving straight to the beach.

A photo stand marks the scene framing. Korean visitor reports describe free bouquet and red-scarf loans at nearby cafés; ask about availability on the day. Weekday mornings may have shorter queues, while busy weekends can involve a wait.
K-pop crossover: the BTS You Never Walk Alone bus-stop photo spot stands on Hyangho Beach, a separate stop to the north. Check transport between the two.
What’s nearby
Jumunjin’s fish market is another stop on the north coast. The Glory’s Sodol Breakwater is a separate filming site beyond the harbor; this Yeongjin Beach breakwater is the Goblin spot. Check transport between them. Gangneung city adds Gyeongpo Beach and Chodang’s soft-tofu restaurants if time allows.
