Dramas filmed at Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak)

When Life Gives You Tangerines

Visiting tips

The name means Sunrise Peak for a reason — the classic visit is a pre-dawn climb to watch the sun come up over the crater rim. In late March–mid April, the fields between the parking lot and the shore bloom with canola flowers, recreating the drama’s most famous shots.

At the base, the Seongsan haenyeo (women divers) perform a demonstration most afternoons and sell fresh seafood right off the rocks — the same diving tradition central to When Life Gives You Tangerines.

What’s nearby

Seopjikoji cape is 10 minutes away by taxi, and Udo Island — a frequent drama and film backdrop itself — is a 15-minute ferry from Seongsan port. Together they make the standard east-Jeju drama day.
